I commission illustration when a story needs something photography can’t give it, a concept, an abstraction, a bit of wit. Everything depends on pairing the right artist to the idea and then giving them room to work in their own voice while keeping the piece true to the brand. I’ve worked with illustrators whose styles range from graphic and bold to loose and whimsical, each chosen for what the story needed.
